‘Friends’ to help Kris host lunch for APEC ladies

November 12 2015

Presidential sister and celebrity Kris Aquino revealed the artists who will help her host and entertain the spouses of the world leaders who will attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Manila.

On her Instagram account, Aquino posted a collage of the photos of Derek Ramsay, Ogie Alcasid, Matteo Guidicelli, Angeline Quinto, and Erik Santos on November 11, 2015. She capped the photo with a message thanking the managers of the mentioned artists.

“THANK YOU for saying YES right away & helping us create a very memorable 20 minute musical experience for the spouses of the leaders attending APEC 2015. We are eternally grateful for your generosity in sharing your talent with us!,” Aquino wrote.

On another three separate posts, she uploaded a photo of Quinto and Santos; Alcasid, whom she called the “OPM King”; and Ramsay, who she described as her “lifelong true friend”, and Guidicelli.

“The Queen of All Media” also disclosed that her sister, Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, asked her to tap Ramsay to be her cohost.

“TRUTH: when Ate text me while we were on vacation, string quartet ang entertainment. So she said baka pwede kong pakiusapan si @ramsayderek11 to cohost the short program w/ me & is it possible for Derek to sing even if lip sync para may konting excitement naman“, Aquino wrote as part of the caption on Ramsay and Guidicelli’s photo.

“I said: Ate, let me please make some calls, kaya ‘to. There were other artists in our short list, but DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) was very strict that the program should only be 20 minutes, so nakakahiya if not everybody will get their moment.”

According to the youngest of the Aquino siblings, 10 spouses have already confirmed attendance to the luncheon which will be held on the 19th.

Sisters of President Benigno Aquino III — Kris, Ballsy, Pinky Aquino-Abelleda, and Viel Aquino-Dee —  will take turns in fulfilling the role of First Lady during the APEC summit next week.
